The flight itself is 10 minutes in the air. With the 10-minute safety briefing beforehand, plan for about 25–30 minutes at the aerodrome from arrival to lift-off. Total experience is short and sharp, perfect for fitting into a Sunshine Coast morning.

Beach Blast flights start at $245 per package AUD (GST included). Pricing varies slightly by group size and seat configuration. Infants under 3 fly free when seated on a parent's lap, and children 12 and under fly with an accompanying adult.

All flights depart from Caloundra Aerodrome at 20 Pathfinder Drive, Caloundra QLD 4551, out 5 minutes from central Caloundra, 30 minutes from Maroochydore, and around 1 hour drive from Brisbane. Free parking is available on site.

Beach Blast flights operate on weekends only (Saturday and Sunday). For weekday helicopter flights, see our Coastal Explorer (18 min) or Glasshouse Adventure (30 min) tours, which run daily.

Most of our Beach Blast guests are first-time flyers, the flight is built for it. The Bose noise-cancelling headsets keep the cabin quiet, the safety briefing covers everything you need to know, and our pilots fly smoothly and steadily. If you're nervous, just tell us at check-in, we'll talk you through it and pace the flight to make you comfortable.

Helicopters fly more smoothly than fixed-wing aircraft, there's no bumpy take-off run and we don't bank steeply on the Beach Blast route. The 10-minute flight time is short enough that motion sickness rarely becomes an issue. If you're particularly prone, take a Travacalm or Kwells about 30 minutes before your flight. We can also offer ginger lollies on request.

Absolutely. And you'll want to. Every seat is a window seat with full panoramic visibility, and our pilots will point out the best photo moments as you fly. We recommend bringing your phone fully charged with plenty of storage. Phone straps or a wrist strap are a good idea, keep both hands free for safety.

Helicopters and bad weather don't mix. If conditions aren't safe or scenic, we'll contact you as early as possible to reschedule no fuss, no fees, no disappointment. Your booking holds its full value, and we'll get you in the air on a day worth flying. Decisions are usually made the morning of the flight based on current conditions.

For safety and balance, a maximum combined passenger weight of 260kg applies, and the maximum single passenger weight is 130kg.
